Recent Vintage Finds

I constantly feel like I’m making no progress in finding things I love for the house, but then I decide to do another post on recent vintage finds and realize I’ve actually found quite a lot of things in the past few months!

One of my all-time favorite vintage finds is the brass garden stool above. It is gorgeous in person, with a nice patina and beautiful classic Chinoiserie style. Such pretty detailing! Right now I have it on our screened porch, but I’m considering moving it indoors because I love it so much I want to live with it year round.

We’re constantly in need of pretty trays since we have a lot of parties and pretty much host all the holidays (we’ve got the big draw – the grandkids!). I was incredibly happy to find a thirteen piece set of Blue Willow pattern china that included three trays, one that is twenty inches across.

I’ve only owned this set two months and have already used most of them more than once. We don’t mess around when it comes to entertaining …

I bought this green plaid blanket for my son’s room for some extra warmth for him in the winter! It looks great at the end of his green bed (at least when the bed is made).

I’m obsessed with these brass wine goblets. I’m considering giving them to someone as a Christmas gift, but don’t know if I can bear to let them go. So much shiny brassiness! I have a hard time gifting that away …

Also in the blanket theme is this antique coverlet that I have out in our guesthouse. According to the seller it’s about 80 years old. It needed professional cleaning but came out gorgeous. It fits right in on our antique property.

And just for fun, I also bought this beautiful vintage quartz cocktail ring recently! I love the detail in the stone. It’s a big piece, about the size of my knuckle. I am not a jewelry girl, but when I do wear jewelry I go for the big statement. I’m also considering gifting this piece, but am still deciding if anyone on my gift list will appreciate it the way I do.
